Within the ZEISS Microoptics we focus on microoptical systems for Automotive, Aviation, Smart Home and Consumer solutions. To foster our field of business aviation we are hiring a Senior Business Developer (f/m/x) with focus on our Aerospace sector.
Your role
In this function you are responsible for the strategic development of business in the asector with products in the areas of head-up-displays, lighting, sensor technology, displays, and HMI based on holographic / microoptical solutions.
Your further tasks are:
1. Ongoing analysis of the market environment and identification of business potential
2. Continuous screening of the market to acquire new customers and creation of business cases based on market and customer data
3. Develop new business strategies and business models together with (potential) customers and evaluation of cooperation opportunities
4. Analyse trends and identify and evaluate competing oducts
5. Draft/coordinate contracts, negotiations in collaboration with the legal/patent departments
6. Develop, support and consult key customers in the industry and define oduct roadmaps plus strategic sales plans
7. Prepare and execute customer visits as well as support of exhibitions
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders
Your profile
9. Several years of verified professional experience in business development and/or key account management in the aerospace sector
10. An educational background in the field of economics, engineering or natural sciences
11. Strong Experience with tier 1 and sub-tier aerospace customers
12. Extensive experience in contract and price negotiations as well as project management
13. Confident appearance combined with an analytical and results-oriented independent way of working
14. A professional approach to customers and a high level of customer orientation
15. Structured, goal-oriented and interdisciplinary way of working; persuasiveness, intercultural sensitivity, and integrity combined with the ability to work in a team and a high level of resilience
16. Very good knowledge of English (business fluent) and good knowledge of German, Knowledge of French is advantageous
17. Willingness to travel abroad
