The opportunity
Join our Controlling Practice & Operations (CP&O) team as Country Controller for DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), reporting to the Cluster Lead for Europe-I, and make a significant impact with your financial planning and controlling expertise.
Mission Statement: Deliver top-notch financial planning and controlling services by analyzing metrics, identifying trends and issues, communicating insights, and recommending actions to enhance financial performance.
How you'll make an impact
1. Overseeing and managing all corporate functions related accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficient financial operations in DACH.
2. Leading and developing the country controlling team, including training, and capacity building
3. Review of all financial statements prepared by Finance Common Shared Services and monthly reporting towards local management on key KPI
4. Track and analyze capital expenditure budgets and actual spending monthly
5. Partner with global & local controllers to analyze financial performance and propose improvements
6. Collaborate with the Country Finance Director (CFD) and other senior local managers in Finance on strategic initiatives
7. Act as finance business partner to local function managers and assist in all Finance related aspects, actively participate in process improvement initiatives, regionally and/or globally
Your background
8. Strong accounting background, preferably with a master’s degree in accounting and finance
9. Deep understanding of IFRS is a must. Experience with local statutory accounting (HGB) is a plus
10. Extensive experience in a similar role
11. Highly skilled in independent problem-solving to handle complex, financial, regulatory and operational challenges without constant oversight
12. The ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders, including management and auditors, as well as being proactive with a strong commitment to quality and adherence to strict deadlines
13. Good understanding and hands-on experience in SAP FICO and proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Power BI PowerPoint, etc.)
14. Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
