Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Projects
An excellent opportunity for an experienced and driven Senior Mechanical Engineer to join an international consultancy, based in their Frankfurt office.
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Salary: €70,000 - €90,000 basic + package
Job Description:
The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a well-established international consultancy that is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to strengthen its Data Centre design capability. This role is ideally suited to a mechanical engineer with strong experience in mission-critical environments such as Data Centres or similarly complex facilities (e.g. pharmaceutical projects). You will play a key role in delivering technically robust electrical designs while providing leadership and direction within project teams.
Day-to-Day Duties:
* Deliver mechanical design solutions for large-scale Data Centre projects from concept through to construction.
* Develop and coordinate mechanical building services designs, including cooling systems, HVAC, ventilation, pipework, and associated infrastructure.
* Collaborate closely with electrical, structural, architectural, and specialist teams to ensure fully integrated and coordinated project delivery.
* Prepare and review mechanical calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, codes, local regulations, and client requirements.
* Attend client, design, and coordination meetings, acting as a key mechanical engineering representative.
* Assist with technical reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards and design processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer on Data Centre projects, ideally within a design consultancy environment.
* Strong technical background in mechanical building services engineering, with hands-on design experience of HVAC and cooling systems within mission-critical environments.
* Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams on complex engineering projects.
* Excellent command of English. German is advantageous.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
