Hauptaufgaben
Serves as expert technical support to the Chief Facilities/Structures Section all aspects of facilitiesand structures related maintenance, inspections and repairs. Supports the Sections Chief and ShopForeman by coordinating and inspecting a wide range of facility maintenance, repair andsustainability requirements in a solid operation and maintenance program. Serves as technical expert on work in trades such as Carpenter, Roofer, Painter, Sign Painter,Mason or Metal Worker. Plans and inspects a variety of operational maintenance- and repair work onmultiple different types of structures, buildings and facilities at the installation, especially focusedon work performed in the Carpenter, Roofer, Painter, Sign-Painter, Mason or Metal Worker trades. Coordinates, inspects and reviews services, maintenance and repair. Determines if work wasperformed in accordance with terms of applicable laws, regulations, HN or Army guidance, manualsor performance work statements. Inspect facilities & equipment to evaluate use patterns andidentify maintenance, repair or restoration requirements; coordinate with and assist engineers toensure adequate maintenance or restoration of facilities and structures, with minimum disruption.Conducts surveys to determine customer facility requirements; provides assistance to buildingcontractors; conducts site inspections and evaluations to validate modification requests and todetermine the means and methods to fulfill the requests. Reviews and studies manufacturer'sequipment maintenance, repair, and other descriptive literature covering materials and equipmentto ensure they meet plans and specifications; performs diagnostic inspection of facilities andstructures; and prepares inspection summaries and narrative assessments of facility conditions. Assists in developing, implementing and inspecting facility maintenance schedules, policies andprocedures. Maintains schedules for maintenance and/or repair of facilities; records and maintainsinformation on safety certifications and inspections; tracks and adjusts work orders related tofacilities and structures; conducts liaison with shop supervisors; projects work schedules andrecurring work plans; schedules short- and long-range maintenance, repair, and minor constructionrequirements. Develops, maintains and updates variety of documents like reports, schedules,inspection sheets, tables and databases. Develops and provides written reports in English andGerman language.
Performs other duties as assigned.

E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below.
E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
C-5:

The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled.
C-5a:

Experience B: Experience in the same or similar line of work as the job for which considered. The experience must demonstrate that the applicant possesses the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required in the position. The predominant experience must have been gained at a comparable level of difficulty to the position to be filled. The amount of the higher level experience must be in a reasonable relation to the required total number of years.
Note: A completed vocational training in the Carpenter, Roofer, Painter, Sign Painter, Mason or Metal Worker trades IAW CTA II Article 56, Wage Group 6 - OR - work experience in any of the Carpenter,Roofer, Painter, Sign Painter, Mason or Metal Worker trade is desired.
• German driver's license class B desired.
• Office automation skills are required.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a military driver's license.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:
English Language Proficiency level B2 AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.

• These are 3 permanent full-time positions 38.5 hrs./week
• The incumbent of this position is occasionally required to perform TDY (Temporary Duty Travel) within Germany.
• On-Call duty required.
• Shift work required.
• Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 66 lbs/30kg.
Position may be filled at the C-4A, 05, or at the full performance level, C-5A. The incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next higher or full performance level in accordance with regulatory requirements, upon completion of required training, and recommendation of supervisor.
