In this role, you will play a part in enhancing operational efficiency within the aviation industry, ensuring optimal resource utilization through innovative optimization technologies and data-driven solutions.
Your responsibilities are:
1. Developing, implementing, and solving complex optimization models using software such as Gurobi, CPLEX, SCIP, or OR-Tools.
2. Building and deploying robust, production-grade optimization algorithms into our operational systems.
3. Utilizing Python and its relevant libraries to perform data analysis, model development, and solution implementation.
4. Deploying and managing solutions on cloud-based computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
5. Designing and implementing containerized solutions, APIs, and microservices to integrate optimization models into our technology stack.
6. Collaborating proactively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business units, to define problems and deliver solutions.

What you should bring to this job:
7. PhD in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
8. academic or industrial experience in applying operations research techniques to maintenance scheduling and material planning
9. proven track record in mathematical modeling and algorithm development with practical implementation and programming experience
10. solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods
11. experience in software development with Python, knowledge of tools such as VS Code, PyCharm, git, Jupyter, pip, conda
