We are looking for a proactive, client-facing Senior SEO Manager to lead projects, guide teams, and drive visible impact for long-term client accounts. Reporting directly to the Head of SEO & Content/CMO, this role offers a clear and rapid career path toward a Team Lead position.

Tasks & Responsibilities
Next-Gen & Core SEO Strategy
- 360 SEO Management: Take end-to-end ownership of Technical, Onpage, Offpage, and Universal/Multimedia SEO across multiple platforms (Websites, Amazon, YouTube, Image SEO, etc.).
- Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): Develop and implement strategies to secure brand visibility in AI-driven search results (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity). Analyze LLM behavior to optimize content and site structures.
- Technical SEO: Collaborate closely with development and IT teams to maximize crawlability, indexability, bot efficiency, and UX across various CMS and e-commerce shop systems.
- Content Strategy: Conceptualize data-driven content strategies, build editorial plans, establish topic clusters, manage quality assurance, and optimize internal linking and site navigation.
- Modern Offpage SEO: Execute high-quality, modern link-building and brand-mention strategies, steering completely clear of outdated methods.
Management & Client Relations
- Audits & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive SEO/GEO audits, create insightful reports, derive actionable next steps, and proactively present findings to clients.
- Project & Team Management: Lead small SEO teams and projects, leverage cross-channel synergies with SEA and Social Media, and coordinate external service providers.
- Client Advisory & BD: Pitch to prospective clients, win new accounts, provide high-level strategic consulting, and nurture long-term relationships.
Profile & Requirements
You are a great fit if you:
- Live in the Munich area (or are willing to commute) and appreciate spending 2–3 collaborative days per week in the office.
- Speak German at a native level and possess excellent English skills (both written and spoken).
- Are fast, dynamic, and highly proactive—you spot opportunities early and lead clients with clear, confident recommendations.
- Work independently, remain solution-oriented, and bring a structured, highly responsible approach to your workload.
- Have strong analytical skills, a natural affinity for numbers, and always consider commercial/business factors in your technical decisions.
- Are an inspiring team player who brings a positive spirit, charisma, and the confidence to persuade both teams and clients.
Must-Haves:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SEO (ideally with an agency background) covering technical, onpage, offpage, and content marketing.
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing SEO projects and managing/guiding small teams.
- Tool Mastery: Deep expertise with core SEO tools (GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, GTMetrix, PageSpeed Insights, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Sistrix, BrightEdge).
- AI & Modern Search Literacy: Practical experience with AI prompt tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Perplexity) and practical understanding of AI response generators (ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Industry expertise in lifestyle, fashion, beauty, e-commerce, travel, or tech/SaaS sectors.
- Hands-on experience executing specific GEO strategies for LLMs.
- Cross-channel knowledge linking SEO with SEA, Social Media, and broader Content Marketing.
- Additional language skills.
Compensation & Framework
- Base Salary: €60,000 – €75,000 gross p.a. (depending on experience and qualifications).
- Bonus Structure: Potential for a performance-based bonus once promoted to the Team Lead position (details TBD).
- Location & Model: Munich-based hybrid model (2–3 days in the office, 2–3 days remote).
