Summary About the Position: ou will serve as Military Pay Technician performing comprehensive review of military pay documents, review forms, orders, vouchers for service members. Providing military entitlements, pay, and benefits technical guidance and direct support to deployed and non deployed Soldiers, units, Divisions, and Army Finance offices. Responsibilities Audit a variety of military pay actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide military entitlements, pay and benefits technical guidance to Soldiers, Units, and Army Finance Offices. Provide assistance to personnel on all military pay inquiries. Utilize various automated military pay and travel systems to review vouchers for payment. Interpret data from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) to determine and initiate the appropriate actions. Provide direct service support to all deployed and non-deployed service members. Process documents electronically through a variety of automated pay systems. Audit pay to determine validity of over and under payment claims. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.
