Senior Officer - Tax Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Officer - Tax Compliance to join our team. As a key member of our tax department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of tax reclaims, maintaining contact with local offices and tax authorities, and providing reporting assistance for multinational and local clients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Complete relevant forms to reclaim withholding tax unduly levied and ensure the collection of relevant documentation in respect to the filing of reclaims within required deadlines.
* Maintain contact with local offices in Luxembourg and across the world, tax authorities, custodians, sub-custodians, and clients as required to ensure accurate and timely processing of tax reclaims.
* Ensure follow-up of tax reclaims filed, the recovery process and follow-up refund on behalf of clients.
* Report on a regular basis to our clients on the progress of reclaims.
* Provide reporting assistance for multinational and local clients in the specific field of FATCA, CRS, and QI.

Requirements:

* University degree in economics, management or law, with a major in tax legislation and taxation.
* Alternatively, at least 3 years of experience ideally within the tax department of an audit/tax firm or the tax/Back-office securities department of a bank with a focus on operational taxes, withholding tax reclaims, tax reporting.
* Ideal knowledge on FATCA, CRS, and/or QI.
* Familiarity with taxation of financial instruments and tax rules related to individuals (France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg).
* Strong analytical skills and previous project management experience.
* Supportive of the use of technology.
* Ability to work in teams and prefer an open-minded and friendly environment.
* Fluency in French and English; German would be an asset.
