Job Description
We are seeking an experienced systems engineer to spearhead the launch of our European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) initiative. As part of this pioneering project, you will play a pivotal role in building and leading operations and development teams dedicated to delivering high-availability AWS services.
Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the launch of the ESC, working closely with global AWS teams, and influencing the evolution of AWS services and technology. You will collaborate with technology leaders to enhance day-to-day operations, ensure improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.
A typical day in this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents occurring out-of-hours through 24x7 on-call rotations. Your commitment to maintaining operational excellence is paramount as you navigate challenges that arise from software system complexities.
