Responsibilities:
1. Design Leadership
- Lead and manage design projects, ensuring alignment with brand identity and project goals.
- Develop and present design concepts, sketches, and 3D models to stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and interns.
2. Concept Development
- Create innovative and forward-thinking design concepts for both interior and exterior vehicle components.
- Conduct research and trend analysis to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with the design team to iterate and refine concepts.
3. Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, product planning, and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and integration.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage with suppliers and external partners to source materials and technologies.
4. Execution
- Develop detailed design specifications and CAD models for production.
- Oversee the development of prototypes and mock-ups.
- Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.
5. Project Management
- Manage project timelines, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
- Maintain organized documentation of design processes and decisions.
- Communicate project status and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
2. Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
3. Technical Skills
Proficiency in design software and other industry-standard tools.
4. Portfolio
A robust portfolio showcasing a range of innovative automotive designs and successful projects.
5. Communication Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
6. Problem-Solving Skills
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
