Next generation mobile communications systems must meet challenging requirements in terms of signal quality, sensitivity, and dynamic switching performance. Today’s RF test systems are not adequate to determine these key parameters with sufficient accuracy at reasonable cost. To address this challenge, NI develops sophisticated hard- and software for testing and measurement of future G and G communication systems.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Contribute to the development of mixed-signal circuits for upcoming USRP SDR hardware
2. Create tools and scripts to enhance simulation efficiency and design processes
3. Perform hands-on testing of new components and compare results with simulations

For this Role, You Will Need:
7. Ongoing academic studies in Computer Science, Information System Technology, Electrical Engineering or comparable fields of studies (from th semester)
8. Basic understanding of mixed-signal electronics and circuits
9. First practical experience in Python programming
10. Basic experience with test instruments (signal generator and oscilloscope)
11. Good command of spoken and written English and/or German
12. Availability for - months starting in April
13. This internship must be a mandatory part of your studies
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
14. Experience with Mixed-Signal circuit design and simulation
15. Understanding of radio frequency system architectures
