Winter Operations Specialist
The role of Winter Operations Specialist is pivotal in ensuring the seamless and secure operation of an airport during winter periods.
This entails designing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive winter service program (snow plan) and concept of operations for the airport, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
The specialist will be accountable for aligning and developing processes and procedures in line with regulations and best practices, as well as managing and developing roles and responsibilities between internal and external partners.
In addition, the specialist will support and develop processes and procedures, training standards, and assess skills to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
During the winter period, the specialist will provide assistance in the execution and running of winter operations, and at the end of the period, draw up status reports for continuous improvement.
After each winter period, the specialist will assess the performance and effectiveness of processes.
The ideal candidate will possess a postgraduate degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in airport operations and 3 years' experience in winter services at an aerodrome.
The candidate must have strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
