Your mission at Plantura
We are looking for a strong leader with a deep understanding of processes to take operational charge of our fulfillment center. At Plantura, you aren't just a cog in the machine; you are the pace-setter of our fulfillment operations. In this key role, you are not only responsible for smooth workflows but also for ensuring our products—from organic fertilizers to delicate beneficial organisms—reach our customers in top quality. Reporting directly to our Director of Operations, your input carries real weight in the continuous evolution of our logistics.
This is your role:
* Operational Leadership & Presence: You are a leader on the floor. You spend the majority of your time actively with your team (permanent staff & seasonal support) and have an eye for every detail.
* Process Optimization & Quality: You optimize our packing stations and processes for high performance. Your goal: seamless workflows and 100% quality. You ensure a continuous flow of goods at our packing stations by proactively managing replenishment from the reserve warehouse and systematically avoiding empty slots in the picking area.
* Smart Resource Planning: You coordinate shift planning for our working students with foresight to confidently master seasonal spikes, such as our spring peak. You coach your team and ensure a motivating work atmosphere.
* Inventory Mastery: You take responsibility for inventory accuracy. Through clean inbound processes, returns management, and regular cycle counts, you keep inventory precision at record levels to 100% fulfill our delivery promises to customers. Additionally, you continuously optimize storage slotting to reduce walking distances.
* Administrative Direction: You manage the budget for consumables (up to €20k), coordinate FBA shipments for Amazon, and manage our disposal partners independently.
* Forklift Hero: You safely operate our Material Handling Equipment (MHE), assist with loading and unloading, and ensure a perfectly organized pallet warehouse.

* Leadership Experience: You have already led teams in a dynamic logistics environment (E-commerce, retail, or production).
* Language Skills: Good German and English skills are essential for internal communication and managing your team. You know how to inspire young talent (working students) to strive for operational excellence.
* Hands-on Mentality: You love the dynamics of the shop floor. You motivate your team through your own actions and take joy in developing talent.
* Process Mindset: You have an eye for detail and immediately recognize where workflows stall or where movements can be optimized.
* Solution-Oriented: You work proactively and pragmatically, keeping both your perspective and your high quality standards even during peak phases.
