Your role
By joining the Service Line People Advisory Services, you will become part of a growing, international team working on compliance-related software solutions in the context of Short Term Business Travel. As a Backend Developer you will contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of our backend systems, supporting scalable, cloud-based products used by multinational clients. You will typically work on the following topics:
1. Developing and evolving backend services on SAP Business Technology -Platform (BTP), using modern frameworks such as SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM)
2. Designing and implementing RESTful APIs as part of a modular, service-oriented backend architecture
3. Contributing to the modernization of existing backend code, improving structure, maintainability, extensibility and long-term sustainability
4. Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
5. Working closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders to implement end-to-end features
6. Supporting the team in operating and improving build, deployment and runtime processes in a cloud environment
7. Gradually taking ownership of backend components and topics
Your skillset
8. Proficiency in and TypeScript
9. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend integration concepts
10. Solid understanding of Git for version control
11. Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
12. Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable platforms is a plus
13. Commitment to code quality, including unit and integration testing
14. Basic understanding of SCRUM and agile development methodologies
15. Ability to work in a Linux or Unix-based environment (WSL)
16. Basic scripting knowledge ( Bash) is a plus
17. First experience with cloud platforms, ideally SAP BTP, is a plus
18. Familiarity with SAP CAPM is a plus
19. Strong willingness to learn, grow and take ownership in a modern backend and cloud-oriented setup
20. Fluent in English (spoken and written)
