Your seat to fill
1. Conduct prior art searches, freedom-to-operate analyses, and competitor IP assessments
2. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams from Project Management, Design, Legal, and Product Management to ensure seamless IP integration into development processes
3. Work closely with inventors and R&D teams to identify possible risks at early stages of development
4. Analyze technical solutions to identify patentable ideas in product development
5. Assist in formulating and implementing IP strategies that align with business and innovation goals
6. Contribute to inventor workshops and training initiatives to foster a strong innovation culture
7. Maintain and help expand the company’s patent portfolio using internal IP tools and databases

8. University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
9. Several years of professional experience as patent engineer or in comparable position, in particular including FTO analyses
10. High interest in intellectual property law, innovation processes, and technology strategy
11. Analytical and structured approach to complex technical and legal information
12. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across departments
13. Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken
14. Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with patent search tools (e.g., Espacenet, DEPATISnet, Questel Orbit) is an advantage
