TYTAN Technologies
TYTAN is a young deep-tech defense startup on a mission to restore the economics of air defence through scalable, cost-effective, AI-powered systems. Our autonomous counter-drone solutions are designed to protect people and critical infrastructure. We are an international team of ambitious engineers combining expertise in autonomous systems and UAV design.
We are looking for a meticulous and driven Accounting Working Student to strengthen TYTAN's financial operations as we scale. You'll gain hands-on exposure to core accounting processes (AP/AR, close, VAT, tooling) and help us build reliable, audit-ready foundations in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Your roadmap to make an impact
* Support core accounting operations by assisting with AP/AR tasks, invoice processing, expense checks, and basic reconciliations to help keep our books accurate and up to date.
* Assist in the month-end close by preparing documents, gathering supporting files, and helping maintain clean, audit-ready records.
* Help coordinate with external tax advisors by forwarding information, responding to simple requests, and ensuring they receive all required documents on time.
* Support travel expense management, including checking submissions for completeness, ensuring they align with internal guidelines, and helping employees with basic questions.
* Contribute to compliance and documentation by organizing files, ensuring materials are properly stored, and helping maintain consistent accounting documentation.
* Assist in process documentation and improvements by noting inconsistencies, helping update workflow descriptions, and suggesting practical enhancements from an operational perspective.
Who you are
* Enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or similar.
* Strong with Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots); comfortable structuring data and checking numbers.
* First exposure to bookkeeping basics (AP/AR, reconciliations); familiarity with HGB concepts is a plus; IFRS awareness welcome.
* Experience with DATEV, NetSuite or similar ERP is a plus; keen to learn new tools and automate routine work.
* Precise, reliable, discreet—able to handle sensitive financial information.
* Proactive, organized, and curious; you like improving processes, not just following them.
* Fluent in English; German working proficiency is a strong plus.
Why TYTAN?
* Be part of something bigger—help build the financial backbone of one of Europe's most promising defense startups.
* Collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and Leadership; get real responsibility and mentorship.
* Hands-on learning across accounting, controlling, and compliance in a deep-tech setting.
* Flexible working hours (e.g., 15–20h/week) to fit your studies.
