What you'll do
* Lead and develop a team of data scientists and take pride to solve the toughest business challenges and deliver high quality data products
* Determine business goals and derive analytics objectives as well as translate objectives into a plan for your team, covering data collection, data preparation, statistical analysis, modelling, and algorithm development
* Plan and execute transition from proof of concept to product together within cross-functional product teams
* Lead product teams in the execution of our data & analytics strategy and use agile methods and establish an environment of constant learning, integrity, and mutual responsibility
* Be passionate about exploring emerging technologies and leveraging their full potential as well as establish yourself as a data science ambassador across business units and functions
* Be a technical mentor and people\'s manager for your team and advance your group\'s specialization and deepen your knowledge to claim thought leadership in data science
What makes you a good fit
* Master\'s degree in a STEM field (e.g., physics, mathematics, bioinformatics, (computer) science); PhD is a plus
* Minimum 8 years of experience in a data science or advanced analytics environment with a solid track record of delivering data science products from idea to deployment as well as eagerness to collaborate closely with non-technical teams
* Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in at least one of the following data science areas: supervised or unsupervised machine learning, optimization, statistical modelling, deep learning, time-series analysis, graph analytics for big data; experience with GenAI/AgenticAI
* Excellent coding knowledge in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and data processing frameworks (e.g., SQL, Spark, neo4j)
* Fluent in English; German language skill is a plus
