Senior Manager Partnership & Hospitality (m/f/d) – GER SailGP Team
SailGP is the “Formula 1 on water”: 13 national teams, up to 14 race venues worldwide, and ultra-fast F50 catamarans reaching speeds over 100 km/h. Racing takes place on compact stadium-course layouts—maximum action, short distances, high-precision teamwork, and premium hospitality. We are the German team founded by Sebastian Vettel and Thomas Riedel, shaping partner and guest experiences around the race weekends as well as the German SailGP event in Sassnitz.
For our next growth step, we are looking for an experienced professional to excellently manage our existing team partnerships, drive their strategic development, and own team-led premium hospitality—closely integrated with the league and our Commercial team.
QUICK FACTS

* Budget Governance: Budget planning/tracking for existing partnerships; final budget responsibility rests with the Head of Commercial Partnerships & Marketing
* Location: Remote with regular on-site phases at HQ in Wuppertal
* Travel: Significant international travel to SailGP race locations (on average approx. 1 week/month)
* Language: Business-fluent English and German required; additional foreign language preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership Management
* Operational management and primary point of contact for existing team partnerships (Co-Title Partner, Global Partner, Official Partner & Official Supplier).
* End-to-end delivery of contractual assets (e.g., branding, lounge access, meet & greets, on-site guest experiences).
* Conception, negotiation, and execution of activation programs in a premium sports environment (brand experiences, B2B formats, digital/content).
* Full commercial administration: invoicing, collection of POs, proof-of-performance, payment and approval processes.
* Support the Head of Commercial Partnerships & Marketing in budget planning, forecasting, tracking, and reporting; prepare decision-making materials.
* Strategic development of existing partnerships (KPIs, roadmaps, success measurement) in close collaboration with the Head of Commercial Partnerships & Marketing.
Hospitality
* Develop and oversee exclusive, team-owned hospitality and premium-level events.
* Planning, guest management, logistics, accreditations, and on-site excellence.
* Plan, concept, and execute team events (e.g., season sponsorship kickoff, media days, sailing experiences, partner and prospect events).
* Close coordination with the SailGP League on league-organized hospitality services and rights execution (central interface).
* Manage agencies and suppliers for planning, conception, and implementation—combined with hands-on mentality during operational phases.
* Plan and overall steer activation and hospitality programs around the German SailGP event in Sassnitz.
Organization
* Ensure smooth processes, structures, and workflows within Commercial Partnerships & Marketing.
* Contract and proposal management: create proposals, participate in negotiations, ensure delivery of obligations.
* Interface management with Sport Operations, Marketing/Content, PR, Events, and international league stakeholders.
* Quality and process management for remote setup, event preparation, and debrief.
REQUIREMENTS
* Several years of relevant experience in sports business on rights-holder or agency side—ideally in premium sports and international events.
* Proven success in partner management, activation, hospitality, and event management.
* Strong strategic capabilities combined with a hands-on approach in operational phases.
* Business-fluent in English and German; additional foreign language is an advantage.
* High willingness to travel and resilience during event peaks.
* Excellent project and process management skills incl. commercial administration (invoices, POs, proofs).
* Confident stakeholder management (C-level, international partners, league organization).
* Proficient with common tools (Office 365/Google Workspace, project management tools, CRM).
