Manage all aspects of the indirect procurement process (consumable stocks and other categories of service and supply as required) including purchasing, order management, sourcing, tendering, contract implementation, administration, and management, and supplier relationship management. businesses as required.
Key responsibilities
Manage the sourcing of new products or services as required to support business activities
Identify potential suppliers
Research the market
Manage the supplier evaluation process, reviewing terms and conditions to ensure risks are managed and value for money is achieved
Where economically relevant, manage the tender process to identify the best value for money option for a newly sourced product or service
Request quotations for the provision of goods and services as required to support business activities.
Raise purchase orders as required and maintain PO's with accurate information relating to scope, price and delivery date through to receipt and payment
Expedite deliveries and resolve any quality issues with suppliers, as necessary.
Build relationships and continuously work with internal and external stakeholders to guide them and maximise value throughout the procurement process.
Set up and administer contracts for the DE business for indirect procurement, as required to support business activities.
Ensure that supplier performance meets requirements and that value for money is achieved
Develop and maintain relationship with key suppliers for the UK business indirect procurement
Continuously monitor the portfolio of indirect procurement to identify opportunities for savings, better quality, better sustainability
Support Procurement and Purchasing on other scopes of work at A-Gas, such as Engineering projects, CAPEX projects, UK direct procurement spot purchasing, UK asset purchasing.
Contribute to the European Procurement Strategy aiming at developing the Procurement function
Collaborate with the buyers from the other A-Gas European divisions whenever consolidated procurement is relevant for economies of scale
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
Completed Commercial vocational training or other
Previous experience in a buyer role
Computer literate able to use Microsoft Word and Excel
Desirable
Experience of ERP systems and Workplace
Fluent in German (min. C1) and English (min. B2)
