Your role:
Functional Safety Technology and Trends vision
1. Actively monitoring the new automotive safety trends: products, process, tooling
2. Actively monitor and gather information about the competitors’ software safety technical solutions & strategies
3. Benchmark and analyze the competitor’s software safety technical solutions
4. Anticipate the internal & external safety needs
5. On customer and leadership requests, act with urgency and be ready to answer any technical safety question
ISO 26262 (FuSa) & ISO/PAS 8800 (Safety and AI)
6. Participate in associated ISO committees for influencing and analyzing and anticipating compliance needs
7. Participate in any relevant Software international organization, including tooling
Software Safety Technical Leadership, Project Support and Innovation
8. Provide technical Software safety leadership for influencing the Aptiv safety architecture of the future
9. Lead the deployment of Model/Software in the loop safety related activities
10. Lead the adaptation of LET paradigm in Software design and leverage the increased predictability to improve the overall system’s reliability and safety
11. Create a strong relationship with the Principal System and Hardware Functional Safety Engineers and develop synergies between the SYS/HW/SW domains
12. Create a strong network in the Aptiv Safety & SW communities, across different teams and functions
13. Provide technical support and respond to executive leadership requests with urgency
14. Determine the internal teams and external suppliers’ safety requirements and responsibilities
Operation
15. Support customer projects, on request, from end to end
16. Engage in safety escalation for problem resolutions
17. Drive our Aptiv/Wind River Linux safety compliant solution strategy and push it for adoption
Process Development and Training
18. Mentor and support the engineering team, including the safety teams, for executing the safety policies and Software safety lifecycle processes
19. Contribute to continuous development or enhancement of the Safety processes based on lessons learned or new compliance requirements
20. Promoter the deployment of MIL/SIL (Model/Software in the Loop) through the Safety angle
21. Integrate functional safety lifecycle processes in DevOps/CI-CD
22. Develop or support the development of methods and tools for streamlining product safety development, including AI assistance
Your background:
23. Bachelor and /or Master’s degree in Business, IT or similar
24. Good Knowledge in ADAS/ADS/Cockpit systems and in SDV/SVA
25. Good knowledge of Automotive Regulations, Standards
26. Strong knowledge in ISO 26262 (FuSa) & ISO/PAS 8800 (Safety and AI)
27. Good knowledge in MIL/SIL (Model/Software in the Loop)
Referent in
28. FFI concept
29. SW safety analysis, such as SW FMEA, SW FTA, SW Critical Path Analysis
30. Commercial tool supporting SW Safety analysis
31. SW partitioning
32. Mixed criticality system
33. ETC
34. Strong knowledge of Operating Systems, including Linux, and safety solutions from the different Automotive market suppliers
35. Strong knowledge of AUTOSAR (MCAL, BSW, RTE, Complex Drivers, Application Layer …) and safety solutions from the different Automotive market suppliers
36. Good knowledge in LET paradigm – understand how to take advantage of ENOS product to improve the system safety in general
37. Good knowledge of A-SPICE 4.0
38. Knowledge of automotive development processes
39. Demonstrated ability to take the lead on key issues
40. Ability to teach and listen to teams
41. Ability to interpret the various trends and currents in the global ecosystem that impact APTIV
42. fluent in English (written and spoken) and ideally good German language skills
