PhD Position in Energy System Modelling
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge energy system models.
The successful candidate will be part of the Data-Driven Energy Transition project, focusing on sustainable solutions for a low-carbon economy. The main objective is to design and implement an international Energy System Model that provides comprehensive insights into the energy market.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in energy economics, information systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is required, along with proficiency in Python programming language and excellent English language skills. Knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish languages is an asset but not necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement energy system models using advanced computational methods
* Analyze and evaluate policy scenarios and technology options for the energy transition
* Publish research findings in leading international journals and conferences
Required Skills:
* Master's degree in Energy Policy, Energy Economics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field
* Strong knowledge of quantitative and/or computational research methods
* Proficiency in Python programming language
* Excellent English language skills
* Knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish languages (optional)
