Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine
(LCSB) is an interdisciplinary research
centre
of the University of Luxembourg.
We conduct fundamental and translational research in the field of Systems Biology and Biomedicine - in the lab, in the clinic and
in silico
. We focus on neurodegenerative processes and are especially interested in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease and their contributing factors. The LCSB recruits talented scientists from various disciplines: computer scientists, mathematicians, biologists, chemists, engineers,
physicists
and clinicians from more than 50 countries currently work at the LCSB. We excel because we are truly interdisciplinary, and together we contribute to science and society.
Your role
Exciting position which will allow you to integrate own ideas and visions
Creative and independent development of hands-on workshops in physics and sustainability integrating didactic concepts
Coordinating and teaching hands-on workshops for high schools
Organize outreach activities at events like science festivals
Budget and project organization of the Scienteens Lab physics and sustainability section
Partnership with local high-school teachers and research groups from the University of Luxembourg
Participation to funding applications
Continuous trainings for you to improve your hard and soft skills and topics of interest
Working together with colleagues of many different nationalities in a truly multilingual environment
Your profile
Master diploma / PhD in physics, engineering or related fields
Experience in outreach activities and teaching
Experience/ motivation in developing your own teaching material with e.g. 3D print
Good project management skills and organizational skills
High level of autonomy and ability to solve multi-dimensional challenges
Ability to manage different stakeholder with potential different interests
Fluency in French and English is required; knowledge of Luxembourgish and German is an asset
