The Brand Controller for Hanwag plays a key role in steering the financial performance of Hanwag’s operations in Germany (Vierkirchen) and its production site in Hungary. Acting as a trusted strategic finance partner to the Hanwag management team, this role ensures accurate and transparent financial reporting, full compliance with Fenix Outdoor Group standards, and delivers forward-looking business insights that support profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Business & Financial Controlling:
* Lead and coordinate the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for all Hanwag companies in alignment with Fenix Outdoor Group standards.
* Provide business controlling support to Hanwag management, including production cost analysis, margin performance, and operational efficiency tracking.
* Deliver high-quality, timely financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Financial Reporting:
* Oversee local internal financial reporting
* In collaboration with the local Fenix Outdoor accounting team ensure accurate external financial reporting.
* Coordinate with Group Finance to align financial results, KPIs, and reporting formats.
Treasury & Risk Management:
* Manage and report on treasury-related matters, including foreign exchange (FX) positions.
* Support local insurance management, including coordination of coverage, renewals, and claims reporting in cooperation with Group functions.
Credit & Working Capital Management:
* Support the customer credit line assessment and approval process to mitigate financial risk and support sustainable business growth.
* Monitor working capital KPIs and implement improvements in collaboration with sales, supply chain, and accounting teams.
Business Partnership & Support
* Act as a financial partner to the Hanwag management team, providing insights, scenario analyses, and recommendations to drive profitability and efficiency.
* Collaborate closely with production, operations, and commercial teams to align financial goals with operational performance.
WHO YOU ARE
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration Accounting or Finance.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling, finance, or business analysis, preferably in an international manufacturing environment.
* Strong experience in management reporting.
* Understanding of IFRS reporting standards.
* Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and production controlling.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and Excel/BI tools.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
* Business-oriented mindset with a hands-on approach.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in English (C1) and German (C1).
