Job Description
We are expanding our CliniMACS software team to accelerate the development of clinical devices like the CliniMACS Prodigy and the CliniMACS Plus. As part of our cross-functional agile Development Team, you will develop innovative and interactive software solutions for our clinical & GMP instrument portfolio to create biological applications for cell therapy.
1. Join our agile research team and develop software applications for innovative laboratory devices in cell and gene therapy.
2. As a developer, you will be responsible for the procedural and software development for new technologies as well as the development-related software testing of applications in Java and C++ for the CliniMACS Prodigy software, to map biological process flows on clinical devices.
3. You will work in an interdisciplinary team of biologists and engineers, gather requirements for new and existing applications, translate them into corresponding software solutions, and contribute your ideas for continuous process improvement.
4. Additionally, you will create software development documentation in accordance with medical device guidelines and GMP product requirements.
5. Part of your tasks will involve testing and using the software in the laboratory with the aim of optimizing the process flows of the devices and ensuring the product quality of the application in clinical practice.
Qualifications
6. You hold a university degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification, and you are passionate about cell biology, immunology, and cancer biology.
7. You have deep knowledge of IEC and ISO standards, extensive experience in implementing new software solutions, and strong skills in object-oriented programming (Java and C++). Ideally, you have worked as a process engineer designing and implementing automated and user-assisted workflows, especially for embedded systems.
8. You are familiar with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software development and deployment. Your structured and analytical approach enhances transparency and efficiency, with a strong attention to detail.
9. You bring an agile mindset, are solution-oriented, and thrive in international environments dealing with complex systems.
10. You enjoy working in cross-functional, international teams and can communicate your ideas and results fluently in both German and English, verbally and in writing.
