Responsibilities:
Strategy:
1. Support Sales in acquiring target projects, including delivering technical presentations to customers
2. Analyze, identify, and resolve development-related customer requirements, ensuring targets for timing, quality, and cost are met
3. Ensure project profitability throughout the entire product lifecycle through effective change and cost management
Customer Focus:
4. Act as the main technical point of contact for the customer’s engineering teams
5. Build, develop, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key technical stakeholders on the customer side
6. Closely collaborate with customer engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction and enable sustainable long-term growth
Project Management:
7. Independently manage assigned projects in accordance with internal procedures (e.g. APQP, VC ProMap, ECR, Multi Project Board)
8. Take full responsibility for project results in terms of quality, cost, and timing across all project phases – from RFQ to EOP
9. Lead product and production launches in close alignment with the customer
10. Ensure effective and transparent communication within the project team
11. Conduct regular internal and external project reviews and report project status
12. Support ongoing production and ensure manufacturing robustness
Cost Management:
13. Plan, monitor, and control the budget throughout the entire development phase
14. Lead design and optimization initiatives and support plants on production-related topics to improve contribution margins (e.g. VAVE)
Qualifications:
15. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
16. Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication and presentation abilities in a multicultural environment
17. AVS / NVH product knowledge is an advantage
18. Fluent in German and English
19. Team-oriented mindset, assertiveness, and confident conflict management skills
20. Strong willingness to learn, grow, and continuously develop
