We are looking for a system engineer (m/w/d) in full-time or part-time employment (30 hours/week) at our locations in Münster or Karlsruhe. Your tasks will be part of the squad data management. You will work with your colleagues across locations and interact with various interfaces.
* You will assume responsibility for the administration, operation, and support of archive systems, focusing on Mainframe. You will also contribute to optimizing and automating installation and process workflows.
* You will provide technical second- and third-level support and establish direct contact with internal stakeholders from various departments.
* You will ensure batch processing and be prepared to take on weekend work and standby duties (7x24).
* You will work in an agile team and collaborate closely with internal customers to determine the provision of the production environment.
* You will work independently after training and recognize areas for action yourself.
We are looking for someone with:
* A completed education in IT with extensive professional experience or a degree in computer science with several years of professional experience.
* Good knowledge in the z/OS area (IWS/z, JCL, REXX).
* Familiarity with databases (DB2) and LDMS is advantageous.
* Professional proficiency in German (C1 level) and good English skills (B2 level).
* A high level of self-reliance and responsibility, customer orientation, and communication skills.
* A passion for agile working methods and a desire to join a location-independent team.
