IT system administrator (m/f/d)

The Koblenz University of Applied Sciences ) with its locations in Koblenz, Remagen and Höhr-Grenzhausen offers teaching, further education and applied research with an extensive range of face-to-face and distance learning courses.
Due to the constant development of digitalization, we are facing exciting challenges and tasks in the field of information technology. We are therefore looking for dedicated specialists to join our team of over 20 people at the University Center for Information and Media Technology to help shape the digital future of our university.
Your tasks
* Planning and expanding the network infrastructure. This includes in particular the installation and support of infrastructure technology as well as Windows and Linux servers, the development of virtualization solutions and the connection of other networks via WAN or VPN solutions
* Provision and optimization of a monitoring system
* Market observation and analysis as well as the procurement of server and network hardware, network documentation
Your profile
* Completed university degree in an IT field (e.g. computer science, information technology, business informatics) or completed vocational training as an IT specialist for digital networking or system integration or a comparable qualification with at least five years of professional experience in the field of IT networks
* At least three years of professional experience in the professional operation of network infrastructures
* In-depth knowledge of network topologies and protocols, very good knowledge in the operation of Linux servers / firewalls
* Good creativity and ability to think in a networked, analytical, conceptual and solution-oriented way
* High level of cooperation, communication and teamwork skills
* German language skills (at least level C 1)
