Job Overview
We have an immediate opening at the Warehouse in Kaiserslautern Army Depot. Do you have knowledge of general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials? Are you strong enough to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) while moving heavy items from one location to another.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5. Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
6. Present a neat appearance commensurate with that required of a professional
7. Minimum Education/Experience of High School diploma or its equivalent with (2-3) years of experience in the field or related area. An equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable
8. Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms) while moving heavy items from one location to another
9. Preferably possess a Forklift license
JOB DESCRIPTION
10. Perform general labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
11. Unpacking palletized material and placing like items onto separate pallets or into bins to be transported to storage or shipping locations
12. Receive a variety of military standard and/or commercial type medical, dental, optical, and veterinary items/materiel together with supporting documentation from Prime Vendors, Depots, registered mail, and local vendors
13. Check incoming shipments for completeness, correctness, and proper condition
14. Count and segregate material by expiration date and lot number
15. Operate motorized material handling equipment (MHE), powered by battery such as a stock selector or forklift trucks in order to lift loads weighing under 10,000 pounds as high as 15 feet
16. Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, motorized pallet jacks, and pushcarts
17. Initiate Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) for overages, shortages, incorrect stock numbers, short-dated or expired material, and visual damage caused by transportation
18. Work with physical exertions such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stretching, and reaching
19. Pack supplies and equipment, including items of a fragile and sensitive nature, in boxes, crates, cartons, or other containers for shipping or storage
20. Labeling palletized material with shipping information
21. Occasionally work swing shifts

This position is not eligible for support under the NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
