In order to support the In-Service Engineering Department, Airbus is looking for a
Statics Specialist (d/f/m) for Structural Repairs

A unique opportunity has opened within our Airbus Operations team in Bremen for a Statics Specialist focused on structural repairs. You will be at the forefront of providing expert analysis and solutions for damaged in-service aircraft, with a specific focus on ATA57 High Lift A-D structural components. Your work will be crucial for keeping our customers flying safely.

Your tasks and responsibilities
* Analyze and resolve "in-service inquiries" from Airbus operators following structural damage.
* Develop, formulate, and illustrate technical solutions for these inquiries, including detailed descriptions, sketches, and repair proposals.
* Conduct stress and deformation analyses for both metallic and composite structures, determining the Reserve Factor to validate a structure's integrity.
* Perform finite element calculations and update models to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements.
* Provide immediate support for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) damage and repairs as part of our 24/7 on-call service, ensuring minimal disruption to flight operations.
* Review and approve a wide range of technical documentation, including repair design sheets, static strength approval sheets, and supplier stress reports.
* Coordinate with national and international interfaces to ensure technical solutions are implemented effectively.
* Define aircraft inspection programs and non-commercial flight conditions for damaged aircraft.
* Commission, support, and consult with external companies on complex structural repair tasks.
Desired skills and qualifications
* A university degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven professional experience in static strength and stability assessment of metallic and composite aircraft structures.
* Solid foundational knowledge of Fatigue and Damage Tolerance of aircraft structures.
* A strong, collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.
* A structured and highly organized approach to work.
* The willingness to regularly participate in our 24/7 AOG standby on-call service.
* Fluency in written and spoken English.
* Willingness to travel worldwide to customer facilities.
