Tasks you will take on
As a working student at FD-Tech, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of our testing system for ADAS functions. Our system integrates a simulation environment (Carla, CarMaker), a test manager (Python), and the device under test (ROS2 component). It is distributed across multiple devices and utilizes Docker for containerization.
Your Responsibilities:
Designing and developing concepts to further enhance the testing system
Implementing new features and improving existing components (Python, Bash, etc.)
Integrating ADAS functions into the system (ROS2 & Docker) for validation and demonstration purposes
Orchestrating and setting up Carla scenarios and managing the results
Documenting the system and supporting colleagues in setting up and using it
Working in close collaboration with our project partners from the Technical University of Munich (TUM)
Your qualifications include
Enrolled in a degree program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field
Basic programming experience in at least one of the following: Python or C++
Familiarity with Unix-based systems
Experience with ROS2
Knowledge of Docker is a plus

Fluent in English, C1 German skills preferred
