The Opportunity
We are seeking a Market Communications Specialist to join a growing organisation operating within the renewable energy and energy trading sector.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in energy market operations, balancing groups, scheduling, market communications, or power trading support who is looking to take ownership of critical operational processes while helping drive automation and continuous improvement.
You will play a key role in ensuring renewable energy assets are successfully integrated into the market through the management of market communications, scheduling activities, regulatory implementation, and process optimisation.
Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee energy market communication processes.
* Ensure the timely and accurate exchange of market messages with relevant market participants.
* Support scheduling, nominations, and balancing group activities.
* Monitor operational market processes and resolve incidents when they occur.
* Analyse and implement regulatory and market process changes.
* Develop and improve automated workflows and operational systems.
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient market operations.
* Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and increase operational efficiency.
* Support the integration and commercialisation of renewable energy assets.
Requirements
Essential Experience
* Experience within energy market operations, market communications, balancing groups, scheduling, settlements, or energy trading operations.
* Strong understanding of German energy market processes.
* Experience working with renewable energy assets, including wind, solar, battery storage, or flexibility assets.
* Knowledge of market communication processes and regulatory requirements.
* Experience managing operational workflows and resolving process-related issues.
Technical Skills
* Python experience for automation, scripting, or process improvement.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Comfortable working with systems, data, and operational processes.
