ROLE PURPOSE The Global Business Development Director owns key Global and EU client accounts, engaging senior decision‑makers to position Kintiga’s expertise, secure new opportunities, and drive sustainable revenue growth. The role strengthens Kintiga’s leadership in pan‑European Market Access by embedding German market access expertise earlier and more centrally in global and EU client programmes. In doing so, it reinforces Germany’s role as a commercial and delivery hub for priority global and multi‑country engagements. We are seeking a commercially driven, senior business development leader with deep Market Access and Pricing expertise gained in global pharmaceutical or healthcare roles, ideally within a consulting environment. You will bring demonstrable experience in: Driving revenue growth and strategic client partnerships across Global, European and/or DACH markets for Market Access and Pricing services Identifying and advancing new opportunities through high‑quality proposals and compelling client pitches, working closely with subject matter experts Building trusted advisor relationships within target accounts through a clear, repeatable approach to client engagement, value positioning, opportunity creation and deal closure Fluency in German and English is essential, alongside a strong understanding of HTA processes and how these translate into client needs within the pharmaceutical industry. Success in this role is measured primarily by achievement of agreed sales targets and attributable revenue anchored within the German business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Working across Kintiga, the Global Business Development Director will: Lead and execute business development strategy for target Global and EU pharmaceutical accounts, defining clear objectives, account plans, tactics and success measures Identify, originate and convert high‑value opportunities across new and existing accounts, managing a robust global opportunity pipeline through to successful close Build and sustain trusted relationships with C‑suite and senior commercial stakeholders across Global, EU and German client organisations Lead client pitches and support development of high‑quality proposals to convert global, multi‑country and pan‑European opportunities into awarded work Ensure German market access expertise is engaged early in global and EU opportunities, shaping programme design, pricing and positioning, and strengthening Germany’s role as a commercial and delivery hub Deliver defined German sales and revenue targets, ensuring a minimum revenue contribution landing within the German P&L Work closely with delivery leaders, business development and operations colleagues to shape scope, pricing and commercial narratives that protect value and margins Anticipate commercial and delivery risks within proposals and articulate clear win strategies and mitigation plans Provide insight into current and emerging market, regulatory and account trends to inform account strategies, proposals, go‑to‑market activity and product innovation Stay current with HTA and regulatory developments affecting clients and use this knowledge to support client engagement and opportunity creation Represent Kintiga at external conferences and industry associations, and support mobilisation of thought leaders to showcase Kintiga expertise Champion Kintiga’s values, purpose and entrepreneurial culture, contributing to a high‑performance, collaborative environment Participate in quarterly joint account planning with German and regional leadership Support development and implementation of commercial strategy initiatives, systems and processes that enhance ways of working Contribute to development of marketing materials and collateral that increase visibility of Kintiga’s expertise and support business growth. ABOUT YOU Education & qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Life Sciences, Business, Communications or a related field, with significant Market Access experience Native‑level proficiency in German and English Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Advanced capability in CRM and project management tools Strong interest in technical advancements, digital health and data‑driven solutions. Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, market access, technical leadership or related roles within global or European pharmaceutical or healthcare organisations, ideally in consulting Strong understanding of the European & German pharmaceutical and biotech landscape, including medical, regulatory and market access environments. Skills & attributes Strong strategic and commercial acumen with a proven track record in senior business development or sales roles Demonstrated success in building and maintaining senior client relationships and delivering sales and revenue targets High drive and ambition for business growth, supported by rigorous account planning and client insight Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels Consultative selling approach with strong negotiation capability and solution‑oriented mindset Solid financial acumen to ensure proposals are commercially viable Strong organisational and agile project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities effectively Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling proposals Self‑motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within cross‑functional teams. LOCATION Hybrid role based in Hannover, Lower Saxony, with regular in‑person presence at the office. Occasional travel to other Kintiga locations and client sites across Europe is required.
