AutoChassis System Architect - Automotive OEMLocation: Germany (Ingolstadt/Moensheim) Workplace Type: HybridAbout The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AutoChassis System Architect to join our team, working directly with a leading automotive OEM. In this role, you will be responsible for translating customer needs and market trends into technical specifications for advanced chassis systems, including suspension, steering, braking, and vehicle dynamics. You will oversee the development and validation of these systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability. This position requires a strong background in automotive embedded systems, system architecture design, and system engineering, as well as experience working with OEMs and adhering to ASPICE standards. The ideal candidate will be a native German or EU citizen with excellent communication skills in both German and English.Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate customer needs and market trends into technical specifications for features like suspension, steering, braking, and vehicle dynamicsOversee the development and validation of chassis systems, ensuring adherence to OEM requirements and industry best practicesManage a team of System Engineers to derive detailed system requirements from high-level technical specificationsLead the system architecture design and development process, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and testing, to ensure seamless integration of chassis systemsEnsure compliance with ASPICE Sys.1, Sys.2, and Sys.3 standards throughout the development lifecycleProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvementParticipate in project planning and risk management activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgetCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, including OEMs, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and transparencyStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive technology and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our chassis systemsRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldExtensive experience in automotive embedded systems, with a focus on chassis systemsProven experience in requirement elicitation and specification, ensuring clear and concise documentationDeep knowledge of system architecture design and development principles, including model-based design and simulationSignificant experience in system engineering, including requirements management, system integration, and validationDemonstrated experience working directly with OEMs (VW, MB, BMW, Stellantis) on chassis system development projectsStrong understanding of ASPICE Sys.1, Sys.2, and Sys.3 standards and their application in automotive developmentExperience managing project teams of 50+ engineers, demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skillsFluency in German (B2 level or above) and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be a native German or EU citizenExperience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and EthernetFamiliarity with automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262Additional InformationThis is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team, working on cutting-edge automotive technology.
