Overview:
**CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**
SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Journeyman, Database Administrator to support US Army requirements in the Europe & Africa Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Responsibilities:
* Administer, test, and implement computer databases.
* Coordinate changes to databases.
* May plan and implement security measures relative to protect databases.
* Operate, administer, and maintain databases and servers (e.g., SQL) in multiple environments, supporting Database Management Systems (DBMS) changes.
* Perform DBMS installation, configuration, capacity planning, monitoring, patching, upgrades, backups, restores, refreshes, performance optimization, auditing, maintenance, availability, setup, and respond to alerts.
* Help ensure application integration with database architectures and manage documentation.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree w ith 3+ y ears of experience or AA w ith 5+ y ears of experience, or h igh s chool w ith 6+ y ears of relevant experience.
* An active in scope Secret security clearance.
* Certification meeting DCWF 421 requirements: Cloud+ or GSEC or Security+ or SSCP
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint for document management and various administrative tasks.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven support experience, assisting contractor management with various tasks and projects.
* Demonstrated history of discretion, independent judgment, and self-direction.
Working Conditions:
* Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
* Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.
* May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
* It is anticipated that contractor personnel will be required to travel on Temporary Duty (TDY) to various CONUS and OCONUS locations based on USAREUR-AF and Mission Partner requirements.
