YOUR TEAM Within the department of "PMT - Processes, Methods and Tools" we thrive to enable our Tech Centers and Delivery Units to deliver complex technologies in time, in budget and in quality. As a central enabler for the product development we provide compliant processes, methods as well as consistent toolchains and stand for continuous process optimization. In your role you will shape the future of our engineering tool ecosystem and will work at the intersection of technology, strategy, and governance-driving innovation and efficiency across CARIAD and the Volkswagen Group. WHAT YOU WILL DO Drive and align PMT Tool Landscape with focus on software engineering tools across CARIAD with internal teams Analyze existing tool landscapes and processes in the field of software development (e.g., CI/CD, source code management) Support in the analysis, documentation, consolidation, and harmonization of software development environments, tools, infrastructure, and process flows Analyze, transparently categorize and document the legacy PMT tool landscape to enable informed decision-making and strategic steering Collaborate closely with development and architecture teams and on processes, methods, and tools for engineering with focus on software engineering Define and optimize the process and tooling for steering the PMT Tool Landscape WHO YOU ARE Enrolled student in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field Basic knowledge of software development processes and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Jira, Docker, GitHub/GitLab) Interest in DevOps, tool integration and automation Interest in architecture documentation (e.g. LeanIX) Good communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills High level of professionalism, proactiveness, resilience, and service orientation Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken NICE TO KNOW Remote work options within Germany Duration: 6 months (with the option to extend up to two years) 20 hours/week, up to 35 hours/week during the semester break Salary: 17,80€/hour At CARIAD, we embrace individuality and diversity because we believe our differences make us stronger.
