A Snapshot of Your Day As the Head of Global Project Procurement for conventional and nuclear Controls & Digitalization Business, you will lead a dedicated team of procurement professionals responsible for ensuring the successful execution of complex, high-value projects. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing procurement strategies that align with the business's project-centric goals, driving efficiency, and mitigating supply chain risks. This leadership position requires a strategic mindset to enhance our procurement processes and foster strong collaboration across multiple business functions. Your core responsibility will be to serve as the primary procurement leader and interface for all Controls & Digitalization projects. This includes overseeing the entire project procurement lifecycle, from initial strategy development to final project delivery. You will guide your team in managing procurement risks and opportunities, ensuring all activities are synchronized with project milestones, and upholding adherence to standardized processes and compliance regulations. Your leadership will be crucial in representing project needs within the broader procurement organization and driving a culture of continuous improvement. 4. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Project Procurement Managers; Set clear team goals and objectives that align with strategic business targets and operational requirements.
5. Conduct performance reviews, manage talent development, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
6. Ensure all project procurement activities adhere to standardized processes, corporate guidelines, and regulatory requirements; Serve as the primary voice of the projects towards the wider procurement organization, including commodity management and buyers.
7. Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders such as engineering, commercial, and project management functions; Consolidate and distribute lessons learned from project execution to drive continuous process improvement across the organization.
8. Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for Controls & Digitalization projects; Act as the primary procurement authority and interface for project teams, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
9. Oversee the identification and management of procurement-related risks and opportunities within projects.; Drive the organizational transition towards a fully project-centric procurement model to enhance supply chain performance.
What You Bring
10. Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
11. Longterm professional experience in Procurement and/or Project Management, including demonstrated experience in a leadership or senior specialist role
12. Team Leadership & Motivation, Stakeholder Management, Cross-functional Communication, Negotiation & Influencing, Experience with intercultural teams, Change Management
13. Experience in Strategic Procurement, Project Management Methodologies, Risk & Opportunity Management, KPI Management & Reporting as well as Supply Chain Management
14. Resilience, Accountability, Structured & Organized Work Approach, Adaptability in a dynamic, multi-cultural environment
15. Professional fluency in both Germany and English; willingness and ability to travel mainly within Germany
