Key Account Manager (KAM) – Commercial Vehicles (Braking Systems)
Location: Bad Camberg (near Frankfurt) or Glinde (near Hamburg) Germany
Reporting to: Sales Director Commercial Vehicles
Languages: Fluent German & English is mandatory, any other EU language is welcomed
About the Role
This is not a maintenance-only account role. You’ll take ownership of key customers while actively driving growth; bringing new ideas, challenging the status quo, and identifying untapped opportunities.
You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy and are expected to think commercially, act decisively, and contribute to expanding our footprint in the commercial vehicle market.
What You’ll Do
* Own and develop relationships with key accounts as the primary commercial contact
* Drive new business acquisition with a strong “hunter” mindset
* Identify and unlock growth opportunities within existing customers
* Lead pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements
* Collaborate cross-functionally (engineering, operations, quality, finance, program management) to deliver results
* Monitor market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive activity
* Contribute to forecasting, reporting, and strategic account planning
* Strengthen customer loyalty and build long‑term partnerships
* Actively contribute ideas to expand the product portfolio and market reach
* Navigate industry trends such as Euro 7 regulations, vehicle safety developments, and market shifts
Scope & Exposure
* Pan-European responsibility with 50–70% travel (e.g., Sweden, Denmark, UK, Italy, Romania & others)
* High visibility role with direct impact on business growth
* Opportunity to shape customer strategy and influence commercial direction
What We’re Looking For
* 3–5 years of experience in sales, key account management, or automotive/commercial vehicles
* Solid understanding of OEMs business dynamics
* A proactive, solution-driven mindset with strong commercial acumen
* Someone who brings new ideas, challenges thinking, and acts independently
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills ( fluent English & German )
* Comfortable working cross-functionally in an international environment
* Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
* Interest or exposure to AI/digital tools is a plus
