HR Site Manager Hof & HR Country Coordinator German
Hof, Germany | Full-time | Member of Site Management Committee
Welcome to the Team
Join Nexans — a global leader in electrification and sustainable energy solutions — and play a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy of our Accessories Business Unit (ABU).
Our Hof site specializes in producing cable accessories for Low, Medium, and High Voltage applications, serving major industrial and utility customers around the world. As part of our continued growth and transformation, we’re looking for an experienced HR Site Manager to lead all HR operations at our Hof plant and coordinate HR activities across our three sites in Germany (Hof, Hanover, and Berlin).
You’ll be joining a dynamic international HR network, reporting to the HR Business Partner for ABU, and collaborating closely with both local and Group HR teams to build a thriving, compliant, and engaging workplace.
Getting a Flying Start
This is a strategic and hands-on role, combining local site leadership with country-level coordination. You’ll be a key member of the Hof Management Committee, driving the HR roadmap to support our transformation, engagement, and people development ambitions.
At the same time, you’ll ensure consistency, compliance, and excellence in HR policies and processes across Nexans Germany. Your leadership will directly impact employee experience, organizational efficiency, and the ongoing success of our electrification mission.
How You Make an Impact
* Lead and implement the full HR roadmap for the Hof site — covering recruitment, training, performance, engagement, and social relations.
* Advise and support managers on all people-related topics, ensuring compliance with German labour law and Group policies.
* Drive talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives across the site.
* Oversee payroll, HR administration, and time management processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Act as HR Country Coordinator for Germany — ensuring alignment of HR policies, compensation practices, and governance across all sites.
* Represent HR within the site management team, contributing to business strategy and transformation projects.
Your Starting Points
* Master’s degree in Economics, Psychology, Law, or Human Resources (or equivalent experience).
* At least 7 years’ experience in an HR leadership role within an industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of German labour law and social legislation.
* Proven experience in payroll management and HRIS tools (e.g., Infoniqa, GFOS, or similar).
* Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
* Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and coaching skills — with the ability to balance operational detail and strategic vision.
