The Chemical Energy Storage department works on tasks related to catalyst development, including synthesis, characterization and testing. We are looking for a dedicated master student for a thesis on the development and optimization of catalysts from aerogels. The work includes the synthesis, modification and characterization using state-of-the-art analytical techniques and their application in heterogeneous catalysis. Ideally, you already have experience in heterogeneous catalysis and state-of-the-art characterization methods.
What you will do
* Synthesis, characterization and testing of heterogeneous catalysts
* Evaluation and interpretation of conversion and selectivity data
* Independent work in the laboratory and pilot plant
What you bring to the table
* Bachelor's degree in chemistry, especially technical chemistry
* Independent and conscientious, scientific way of working
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Experience in the field of heterogeneous catalysis, especially synthesis and characterization is desirable
* Experience in dealing with larger test facilities is an advantage
