WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Monitor incoming shipments
* Maintain contact with freight forwarders and courier service providers
* Handle import processes in compliance with foreign trade law and preferential law
* Prepare of customs clearance instructions
* Review, preparation, and audit-compliant archiving of documents
* Reconciliation of incoming supplier invoices after verification of customs clearance
* Preparation of post-clearance assessment and refund applications with the responsible customs authorities
* Clarification of inquiries regarding customs clearance issues or delays with suppliers and service providers
* Tariff classification of our goods
* Data maintenance in the ERP system and internal data capture systems
WHO YOU ARE
* Completed training, e.g. as a foreign trade clerk, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, or a comparable qualification
* Initial solid experience in the customs field, preferably supported by further training
* Ideally good knowledge of import and preferential law
* Fluent German, both written and spoken; English is an advantage
* Sound knowledge of MS Office
* Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Dynamics Navision is an advantage
* Conscientious handling of customer data, a high sense of responsibility, and reliability
