* Location: Kleinmachnow (Berlin region) – Local residency required.
* Contract: Marginal employment (Minijob, up to €603/month).
* Nature of work: On-call / Ad-hoc substitute teaching.
* Rate: Competitive daily/hourly rate for days worked.
* Start date: ASAP / Rolling intake.
About this role:
We are looking for reliable and professional Substitute Teachers to support our Secondary School. This is a framework agreement for on-call assignments. You will step in when our classroom teachers are absent, ensuring that learning continues seamlessly in an inquiry-based IB environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES
* Classroom Supervision: Assist with the delivery of lessons and ensure classroom consistency (ages 11–18) by supporting students' learning activities and maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive environment.
* Academic Continuity: Support the continuity of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) by helping students stay on track with their subject-specific assignments and daily routines.
* Safety & Conduct: Ensure the safety and well-being of students in accordance with our Child Safeguarding Policy and maintain high standards of student conduct.

YOUR QUALIFICATION
* Experience: Proven experience working with teenagers/young adults in a formal educational setting (e.g., secondary schools, certified tutoring, or youth work).
* Work Permit: A valid German work permit is mandatory at the time of application.
* Flexibility: Ability to respond to short-notice assignments (calls often between 6:00 and 7:00 AM).
* Education: A background in a specific subject area (English, Math, Science, etc.) or Pedagogy is highly preferred.
* Language: Professional fluency in English (C2/Native).
* Mindset: Reliable, resilient, and a positive "can-do" attitude aligned with the IB Learner Profile.
