SCM is at the core of HelloFresh and the foundation for everything we do. All HelloFresh processes rely on SCM Tech to operate. We manage the contracts with our suppliers, place orders, control the receipt of goods, handle inventory, keep track of the box labeling and production, and keep a close connection with different areas of the company, from Finance to Operations. The role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Finance Tech Squad for our Supply Chain Management organization, responsible for integrating and maintaining our mission-critical finance core systems including Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Workday and internal applications. As an Engineering Manager for the Fulfilment Alliance, you'll represent the team in all forums, advocating for the best solutions to challenges faced by the team. Our Squad Leads are not only experienced engineers with a firm technical grounding but also leaders who prioritize their team and the products they develop. If you are a skillful communicator, understand efficient work methodologies, possess technical expertise, and have experience in team building, you are the candidate we're looking for.
What you’ll do
1. You will build, grow, manage a team of 5-8 engineers focused on integrating, customizing, and supporting finance enterprise systems across the organization
2. You will work closely with product, finance, accounting, and IT leadership to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
3. You will deliver top-quality solutions for stakeholders, passionately advocating for quality, team health, engineering and operational excellence.
4. You will oversee the integration of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Workday, and other finance systems with internal services and data sources
5. You will ensure system uptime, performance, security, and compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
6. You will lead and shape the technical strategy. Actively engaging in technical discussions and taking architectural decisions.
7. You will handle crucial people management functions such as coaching, career path planning, performance reviews, and staffing.
What you’ll bring
8. Very good understanding of technical landscapes and has been supporting a team of engineers in the past. Ideally, 10+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in people management and leading teams in enterprise software or SaaS environments
9. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software engineering with strong expertise in JVM languages (preferably Kotlin), Postgres, Kafka and Flink technologies.
10. Knowledge of cloud computing, containerization, and modern DevOps practices
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with an ability to articulate complex technical topics and solutions in a concise and simple way across multiple technical & non-technical stakeholders.
12. Experience in developing long-term engineering roadmaps, strong agile practices and project management skills.
13. Passion for coaching and growing software engineers at all levels.
