Project Context
Energy access is crucial for sustainable development, yet many populations cannot afford subsidised solar home systems or clean cookstoves. EnDev pilots DSS mechanisms to provide such solutions in Sub‑Saharan Africa and near‑term closure of the project is underway. The intern will strengthen capacities at headquarters.
Your Tasks
* Support the closing process of DSS pilots across four Sub‑Saharan countries and EnDev Core.
* Assist with the design and development of communication materials.
* Help document and publish knowledge products from each DSS country.
* Prepare and organise closure events.
* Support the review of DSS studies and evaluations.
* Contribute to exchanges with international stakeholders on demand‑side subsidies.
Your Profile
* At least two years of university studies in Science, Social Science, Economics or a related field with a focus on energy, development, or similar.
* Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to build relationships.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Good organisational and planning skills.
* Competent in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with MS Teams is desirable.
* Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; German and French are an asset.
* Regional expertise or experience in Sub‑Saharan Africa is desirable.
* Expertise or experience in development cooperation or the energy sector is desirable.
