About your role
As Enterprise Architect, you will play a key role in the strategic evolution of our bank. You will align business strategy, regulatory requirements, and technological innovation into a sustainable and future-proof target architecture.
You see architecture as a transformation steering instrument – not as documentation in tools.
Strategic Architecture Leadership
1. Develop and continuously refine a clear target architecture aligned with business strategy, risk strategy, and regulatory requirements
2. Derive architectural guardrails for major transformation initiatives (digitalization, automation, cloud, data strategy)
3. Evaluate strategic investments from an architecture and value-creation perspective
Transformation & Innovation
4. Actively shape the bank’s digital transformation journey
5. Identify emerging technologies (e.g., AI, cloud-native architectures, API ecosystems) and assess their strategic relevance
6. Design modern, modular, and resilient architectural patterns
Governance with Impact
7. Establish pragmatic architecture governance that enables speed rather than slows it down
8. Act as a sparring partner for Executive Management, business units, and IT leadership in strategic decisions
9. Ensure consistency, scalability, and technical sustainability
Bridging Business and IT
10. Translate business requirements into robust architectural solutions
11. Moderate strategic trade-offs (e.g., time-to-market vs. stability vs. cost efficiency)
12. Foster a shared understanding of architecture across the organization
About you
13. Several years of experience in enterprise, domain, or solution architecture – ideally within the banking sector
14. Strong understanding of core banking processes (e.g., lending, payments, regulatory reporting, risk management)
15. Experience in large-scale transformation initiatives, core banking modernization, or cloud transformation
16. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., BAIT, DORA, MaRisk)
17. Solid knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) – as a tool, not an end in itself
18. Strategic mindset with entrepreneurial thinking
19. Strong influencing skills at senior management level
20. Ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and structured way
21. Courage to take a position and provide direction
22. A builder’s mindset rather than an administrator’s mentality
23. Very good German and English language skills
