A well-known Japanese manufacturer is looking for a Finance Manager to join their Krefeld Office. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the management of accounting operations from bookkeeping to closing whilst reviewing accounting and finance operations to improve the operation
TYPE: 2-year contract, possibility of extension (6-month probation period)
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday, 40 SALARY: up to €100K dependant on experience, plus company car and generous pension scheme
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Krefeld (Office basis)
Finance Manager MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Finance and Accounting tasks
•Prepare, maintain, and audit the internal monthly management accounts on an in-house accounting system
•Supervise the Accounts Assistant and confirm accounting entries with supporting documents
•Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing within prescribed deadlines
•Conduct and interpret variance analysis on a monthly basis and discuss the results with other departments and board members
•Approval for daily •Coordinate internal and external auditing processes and provide support to auditors
•Carry out Tax and VAT operations
•Manage the payroll for local employees and expatriates from Japan
•Communicate with banks and confirm
Others
•Actively review the entire accounting operation and implement an improvement plan
•Manage the new ERP and accounting system implementation
Finance Manager IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Hands on Accounting experience gained within an International Commercial Trading Environment
• Experience with Tax calculations
• Experience of dealing with European VAT Returns
• Experience with financial tasks including communication with the bank
• Good verbal and written English and German language skills
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Ability to assess, prioritise, and manage your own workload
