Key responsibilities of a Google Distributed Cloud network engineer might include: Designing network architectures: Creating robust and scalable network designs for Distributed Cloud deployments, taking into account factors like geographical distribution, latency optimization, and data locality. Implementing network components: Configuring virtual private clouds (VPCs), routing protocols, firewalls, and other network elements on Google Cloud Platform to support Distributed Cloud deployments. Managing edge network connectivity: Ensuring seamless integration between on-premises networks and Google Distributed Cloud edge locations, potentially utilizing technologies like Cloud Interconnect or VPNs. Performance optimization: Monitoring network performance metrics and troubleshooting issues related to latency, packet loss, and bandwidth limitations in distributed environments.
