Job Description
* Lead and scale Scalable Capital’s Accounting function, covering German GAAP (HGB/RechKredV) and IFRS requirements
* Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across existing and new workstreams to improve efficiency, quality, and control
* Own and drive cross-functional accounting projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., auditors, tax advisors), and continuously improve the accounting process landscape
* Take end-to-end responsibility for the monthly and annual close, including monthly tax reporting and support for related reporting requirements
* Contribute to the design of booking logic and posting patterns within our in-house core banking system, ensuring accurate and scalable accounting treatment
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in financial accounting under German GAAP (HGB) and in handling tax-related matters
* Proven hands‑on experience in preparing (consolidated) annual financial statements and managing the external audit process
* Solid knowledge of tax‑relevant accounting topics, e.g., VAT and related reporting requirements.
* Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with a structured, precise working style and strong problem‑solving skills
* Business‑fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
