 
        Your tasks Global Risk Assessment Services (GRAS) is an innovative company providing information to ecological and social sustainability. GRAS helps agricultural producers, processors, brand owners, traders, NGOs, scientists and investors to review sustainability risks for individual suppliers, sourcing areas or countries. In addition, GRAS supports certification systems, certification bodies and auditors in objective sustainability analysis and verification of land use change. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic intern who is proficient in software development and has a strong interest in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The ideal candidate will assist in developing, maintaining, troubleshooting and optimizing a complex system for geospatial data analysis and visualization. Here, you will: Develop and maintain code for a comprehensive sustainability platform Perform spatial data analysis using GIS tools and techniques Improve documentation and workflows Assist in investigating and resolving customer requests and tickets Your profile Essential Skills: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Geoinformatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field and will be available for a full-time internship for at least 6 month High proficiency in software development, including experience programming in Python, PHP or R, as well as with RESTful APIs Experience with version control using Git Familiarity with geospatial data and concepts Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Desirable Skills: Experience with geospatial packages in Python Experience with R packages like Quarto and dplyr, as well as LaTeX Experience with the Laravel PHP framework Experience with GIS tools like QGIS Knowledge of AWS and Docker Familiarity with project management and/or helpdesk systems such as Jira and Freshdesk.
