Junior Qual-Quant Data Researcher (m/w/d) (ID202)
remote, volunteer, part time hours)
You will share our passion for rigorous data analysis and evidence-driven insights, and you'll support our team in delivering high-quality research projects combining both qualitative and quantitative methods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quantitative Research
* Use STATA (and other statistical software such as R/Python) for econometric and statistical analysis
* Assist in data collection, cleaning, and processing of large-scale datasets
* Support survey design, sampling strategies, and quantitative model implementation
Qualitative Research
* Support audio-to-text transcription (e.g., via Whisper AI or similar tools)
* Conduct text tagging, thematic coding, and categorization of qualitative data
* Extract and structure impact metrics from qualitative datasets for reporting and evaluation
Integration & Reporting
* Contribute to mixed-methods projects, combining quantitative models with qualitative findings
* Prepare draft reports, dashboards, and presentations
* Collaborate with senior researchers to refine methodologies and ensure research quality
QUALIFICATIONS
* Strong interest in
data research, statistics, and applied analysis
* Basic skills in
Excel, R, Python, or Stata
(training will be provided if needed)
* Familiarity with qualitative methods such as coding, text analysis, or thematic reviews
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently while being a team player
* Good communication skills in English (German or other languages are a plus)
IDEAL BACKGROUND
* Bachelor's degree (or ongoing studies) in
Economics, Quantitative Finance, Data Science, Social Sciences, or Statistics
* Prior academic or work experience with
STATA and/or qualitative coding
* Understanding of both impact evaluation and applied data analysis
* Motivation to grow into a full researcher/analyst role over time
