Keysight’s Global Services Organisation (KGSO) is seeking to hire an ambitious and talented Field Service Engineer (FSE) to join its team, with responsibility for delivering remote & on-site support services to Keysight’s Solution customers across the High-Volume Manufacturing Industry Sector, with a focus on the Keysight i family of In-Circuit Test System and General & Automotive Electronics Functional Test Systems.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility of delivering remote and on-site support services to the European-wide installed base of Manufacturing Test Solutions customers. Support services are defined as installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, calibration, repair, training, and parts & escalation management relating to solution hardware and software.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Conduct on-site system installations and integration services.
2. Manage and implement preventative maintenance (PM) and calibration schedules in alignment with the customer’s production schedules.
3. Installation of hardware and software/firmware upgrades and service notes.
4. Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair of customer equipment in a timely, thorough, and professional manner.
5. Work with cross-functional teams to address difficult repair situations and escalations.
6. Deliver face-to-face customer training
7. Determine and develop approaches to the varied assignments associated with this position.
8. Lead field service and support projects requiring coordination with other functions, customers and suppliers.
9. Solve a broad range of system problems of varying scope and complexity, involving hardware, software, networking, application and facilities.
10. Assist the Sales teams as needed; proactively look for growth opportunities to drive annual recurring revenue.
Qualifications
Job Qualifications and Requirements
11. Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent.
12. Fluent in German and English.
13. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to travel via car and air is essential.
14. Flexibility to travel across Europe when required. The ability for travel at short notice is essential to this role.
15. Must be able to accommodate travel commitments of up to 60% during peak times.
Desired
16. Knowledge of in-circuit, functional and automated test technologies and techniques would be advantageous.
17. Knowledge of the i Application Development, fixture and deployment process would be beneficial.
18. Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer.
19. Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical troubleshooting techniques and skills knowledge.
20. Good working knowledge of MS Windows OS, Unix and networking.
21. Confidence in public speaking (training delivery, customer meetings).
